CRAP! "I fudged up"

Heyyyy Prima!!! (means cousin in spanish)
"I fudged up, I fudged up,I REALLY fudged up!" This is all I was hearing during one of my last budget sessions. I looked into the Zoom camera and told this amazing mama of 3 crying, self shaming herself and I said "FUDGING UP doesn't define us, it will give us the extra tools to learn a new way in how we value our money. ( shout out to her for letting me share this story since I know she's on this email list) Society shames ups for fudging up our budget, starting late, living with limiting beliefs, over consuming, not prioritizing but we forget to realize that shifts don't come in a comfortable state. It's not about fudging up, it's about which habits led to that fudge up and how can can create a plan to improve the situation.

So in 2022, after looking at my savings and investing habits and NEEDING to be more aggressive, NEEDING, to buckle down on some clarity ; I spent 365 days, YES ONE YEAR and took a leap of faith to join Amon and Christina ( from Our Rich Journey) in their one year F.I.R.E course to really understand how could I get SERIOUS about retiring early without sacrificing, living my life ( like travel because if ya'll know me I LOVEEEEEE to travel) This year long action-oriented program helped me understand how I needed to start moving with my money so I could RETIRE YOUNG. The crazy thing is I ended up on their Youtube channel about 9 years ago when I FUDGED UP with some financial investments and was beating myself up and then realized that I just needed resources and people around me that were in a positive movement to improve their financial situation so that I could lean on them to ask questions. I am here to tell you that maybe you need to stop focusing on how you fudged up and look at creating new habits that will let you be in control of your money no matter what comes your way!

Let's quit saying we don’t invest in stocks because it’s too risky or like gambling. Oh boy, I used to say that too because I had no clue! I was surrounded by people who thought the same, assuming it was all a gamble. You know what's actually risky? Not investing and then realizing, as you get older, that investments really do matter.
