Money dysmorphia is a real thing, and I'm not talking about body image—I'm talking about money dysmorphia. When I work with people on their budgets, some of them get so laser-focused (which is amazing), but they start creating these unhealthy habits around spending. Going from one extreme to another is how you end up in deep water, you know what I mean? Don't give me the side-eye

But just like anything, habit patterns are what help us curb the appetite for spending or going to extremes. I literally wrote about it this week, and in my findings, I realized something important.

Here are three things about money dysmorphia that people don't really talk about because they're embarrassed:

1. Impulse Buying: People with money dysmorphia often feel ashamed about their impulse buys, especially when they regret them later.
2. Financial Denial: Many avoid checking their bank accounts because they're scared of facing the reality of their spending habits.
3. Comparing Wealth: Constantly comparing their financial status to others can make them feel inadequate, even if they're doing fine.
